UTAR: Refund of Caution Money

UTARIANS, did you know that you can get a refund of your caution money? Caution money can be refunded upon completion or withdrawal of studies at UTAR. Online application must be made within one year from the date of completion or withdrawal of studies. It means that students who have completed or withdrawn from studies can apply for the refund of caution money online.

Before applying, please make sure your bank account information in the Student Portal is completed. Students who have not maintained his/her bank account information in the Student Portal is required to do the following steps before performing the online application for refund of caution money.

1. Login "Student Portal" or https://portal.utar.edu.my/loginPage.jsp?catid=00
2. Click "Portfolio".
3. Click "Profile".
4. Click "Bank Account Information" and fill in your details.

After this step, you can now proceed to below link to apply your refund of caution money:

After fill in your personal details and tick the agreement box,
you can tick one of these three options.

Just click "Submit" after that.

This Confirmation Page will appear in front of you.

You can check your status now.

And that's it.

Your caution money will be refunded within 30 days upon receipt of your online application. You will receive an email notification when the refund or payment has been deposited into our bank account. Good luck!
