Bali part ends! How about Yangon? I have no idea about this place at first, but now, I can tell you that Yangon is located at Myanmar as shown in the figure above! Yangon was founded by King Alaungpaya. Yangon means "End of Fighting" which was anglicized as Yangon by the British. It is the main gateway to Myanmar. Ever green with plentiful tropical trees, sunny parks and beautiful lakes, Yangon has named "The Garden City of the East".

TOP 4 tourist attractions in Yangon that we MUST visit:

#1 Shwedagon Pagoda: Towering almost 100 metres above green cityscape of Yangon, believed to have a built over 2.500 years ago where the Buddha's relics were enshrined.
#2 Bago (Pegu): Impressive temples, open-air markets, cheroot making and woodcarving center.
#3 Thanlyin (Syriam): Main port from the 14th to the century.
#4 19th Street of Chinatown: It known for its long rows of barbeque stalls.
Every taxi driver knows where it is!

Conclusion: Yangon is a place that underdeveloped compared to those other major cities in Southeast Asia, but it has the lasrgest number of colonial buildings in the region. It's more like a religious trip. Maybe we can explore the Yangon streets and have a Myanmar beer on the 19th Street? This is a must-go for food hunting when you are in Yangon!
